Why train with Counter Response Fitness?

We have been led to believe that fitness is all about aesthetics. You may look fantastic but—what are planning on doing with all the muscle?

There is much more to fitness than to just have a good physique. The goal should be focusing on performance and goal setting. When we focus on our performance and goals it is an ongoing process that fuels and drives inspiration and motivation. It helps us to keep moving forward and improve. Now fitness can be a part of our life and not just a byproduct of our appearance.

At Counter Response Fitness we can show you how your physicality can be used for your own self-defense as well as to be offensive in protecting others.

You’ll quickly realize that your physical wellbeing plays a key role in the skills that you learned at our classes.

Another aspect for our training is for tactical settings; such as the physical toil on the body it takes to use a firearm correctly. And for every civilian that chooses to carry a firearm, this is a necessity. Just as it is for those who do carry to recognize their responsibility to the public to be aware of their surroundings at all times.

Other instances involve self-defense or a hand-to-hand combat situation. What does it take to try to get an attacker away from you (or another) so that they can reach for your firearm?

When encountered with these situations, it becomes more apparent that fitness plays a key role. The more fit the body, the more apt it is to be able to handle the stress. This allows the mind to make quicker sharper and more precise decisions and/or stay alive to help others.

What makes Counter Response Fitness different?

CR Fitness is developed into one-hour training sessions and it adaptable to EVERY fitness level. No matter what the fitness level from absolute beginner to advanced athlete, the classes are scalable to accommodate exactly the experience you’re looking for.

It is open to men and women and of all ages. However, anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent/guardian and said parent/guardian will need to sign a waiver.

Equipment you’ll find at CR Fitness include functional free weights, gymnastics apparatus and striking heavy bags.

You will experience that challenge sense of being taken out of your comfort zone. Attributes will be challenged such as cardiovascular and respiratory, endurance, stamina, strength, flexibility, power, speed, coordination, agility, balance and accuracy.

Come visit us and we will show you why we do what we do. You will learn how we define fitness and what we do to get it. We’ll talk about your goals, your experience in exercise and sport, your injuries and limitations, and we’ll assess your mobility/flexibility. We’ll answer any questions you have.

Counter Response Fitness is very different from Cross Fit and other like gyms. It is more expensive compared to machine based gyms, so it’s a big investment, a big decision. We offer a Free Week trial so you can make an informed decision (up to 5 classes). No sales pitch. No pressure. We won’t treat you like that. We think Counter Response Fitness sells itself once experienced.
